I'm going to catch a lot of flack for this but it's really time to make things right

Meskwaki women's children should be enrolled too. Why not? There's a lack of equality going on here. Change? Yes, please.

  1. Okay, this is a sensitive subject. I’d like to hear the arguments of both sides. Not only this topic, but also C.I.B. Certificate of Indian Blood pertaining to Meskwaki people and the hierarchy it creates among the Enrolled tribal members.

  2. I am oppossed to enrolling a Meskwaki woman's children unless the father of her children is a Meskwaki as well. This is a law that has been in our tribe for a great number of years. Meskwaki women know what the rules are from the time they are young women. If they decide to lay with someone out side of our tribe, and then to have children from this union, that is her choice - but the tribe as a whole should not change their rules to accomodate them.

then the men should quit marrying white women and having half breed white kids! thats diluting our tribe!

  4. My take - ask yourselves who is our TC gonna be 2 generations down the road? Scary thought huh? Because by then - we are not totally pure on both sides. :)
