They haven't received their percap since 05'. I believe they are still being fined an excessive $1,000 a day for not showing up to their hearings. They are believed to have information pertaining to the $400,000-$700,000 that was unaccounted for during the 03' takeover?! BS. June 24, 2003 two tribal members(not mentioned on the list above) withdrew $400,000 in cash from the Home Federal Bank. Date, names, signatures, and the amount they withdrew. I have this information and I will upload it soon. My scanner is on the blink.

  1. What have they done wrong? Getting fined a $1,000 per day by not showing up for a hearing is unbelievable and is these fines written in the tribal codes? What I've read so far is these people have been accused and judged by the accuser. It is apparent the tribal council now is a continuation from the bear council, and now every Meskwaki is paying the price for their ideals or their own manifest destiny.

Time to wake-up. Time to know the Truth. Enough. Time for change.

  2. Why was Leodean's name questioned? A rumor was heard that he is getting his percaps---just rumors. You know what rumors can do! For those who dare to seek FACTS, please read on.
The Nine-Named individuals virtually have the same fines though there may be some variations because the days "fined" have different start days. Beginning the week of Monday, June 5, 2005, the fines are for each week to present, $1,000; for EACH DAY beginning that Monday 2005 to now, $1,000; fined $5,000 for not going to their illegal tribal court; plus $1,000 for service of a "notice-to-appear"; $1,000 for their atty's fees. This is a total of $1,453,000.00. Your figures are correct: This is for being accused of stealing $788,000 or $779,000. No one but the tribal council has or had check-signing authority. There has never been a court hearing. The data that that tribal council wanted at the time was given to the tribal council but that tribal council refused to accept all they had asked for. All that data is still available today in its original state. All dates, names and places are still available and on hand. For those who still doubt, get the present tribal council to "demand" that this be brought up as soon as possible. Let the tribal members be the judges. The resolve for this situation is to get members who have intellect and compassion in positions of authority. There is no one on the present tribal council who has these qualifications.

  3. I agree with Ed. I believe that to move forward as a tribe, we have to resolve and reconcile the past.It serves NO purpose to have issues remain that CAN be resolved. Even if the current offenders who are trampling tribal member's rights decide to make things right, then it becomes upon the rest of us to forgive. That being said, i look at the long unsolved question of these who have/are being punished arbitrarily for supposed crimes, but no trial and/or conviction. What is happening here? It accomplishes absolutely nothing. Then again, IF there is evidence in the data that will clear everything up..then let's bring it to light. At least there may be exoneration for the innocent and possible..but justified punishment for the guilty. In any event, we will have put the whole thing behind us.
