I'm going to stop b*tching and go see my lawyer acquaintance.

The Meskwaki people have to band together to save the Tribe. The tribal council has shot down any attempt to stop them from what they're doing to the Tribe. The election committee blocked Troy's petitions. The tribal council didn't honor the referendum and the tribal court dismissed Calvin's lawsuit. Surely there must be something else to be done.

  1. Good idea. But i thinx it would only be a demonstration of discontent.
How about we concentrate on finding enough good candidates to form the new majority. Put out the word, go out and actively meet and greet folks and find common ground. We know that elections are coming soon. Trying all the old time-consuming methods will only meet denial by the current leadership(based on what has happened so far) I agree that complaining about accomplishes nothing. But we have the chance now to get a consensus going that can lead to change..if it is worked right. I would suggest that we do not build lines of separation. We really need to repair all the things we see wrong...AND if any feelings exist between us..we need to patch those up. I fear that all the division that exists will show up and defeat all efforts to make this thing right. Call people. Start dialogues. Set up meetings. Attend meetings. Tell people about what is going on. Go see old friends. Make new friends. Email people. Make a newsletter. Hey, we got about 5 months to make a difference. CANNOT lose hope. all you guys who read this..think about it.. then act.

  2. It will all be wasted because as soon as the new tribal council is seated and decides not to listen to all of your bullshit any more, you will be looking for a way to ditch them as well. Since you are all so perfect, why don't you just get yourselves on the council so we don't have to hear any more of this crap - that is if you have enough people left that will still respect you and vote to put you one - which my guess is that you don't or you wouldn't be looking for others to be your puppets.
